Marty Mercer
Marty Mercer, our sales presentations expert, has more than twenty five years of business experience in sales consulting and sales management.
Marty has sold everything from newspaper subscriptions, to books door to door, to software, hardware and services in the enterprise software environment. A veteran in the software industry, Marty started his sales career by selling scheduling systems to nursing departments for a small start up company. He helped that company grow to over $30 million in five years when it was bought by the Medaphis Corporation. Marty then spent the balance of his sales career selling and managing the sales of very large enterprise clinical information systems for two different publicly traded companies. During his software sales career, Marty has sold or managed the sale of $130 million in contract value to over 500 different health care organizations.
Marty is a member of the National Speakers Association, the Georgia chapter of the National Speakers Association and is a Certified Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise. Since 1998, Marty has been the leader of "The Briefcase Brigade,” a group of men who march in the annual Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas parade.
Marty is married to Karen and they have three children. Marty received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of South Florida and a Master of Science in Health Systems from Georgia Tech.
